Zcash is cutting block times. What changes for users and miners?

Zcash's NU7 upgrade will reduce the target block time from 75 seconds to 25 seconds, meaning deposits can confirm faster. Exchanges will still decide when to credit deposits, and the upgrade also changes what miners earn from transactions. Faster blocks could improve user experience, but the exchange-credit caveat and miner-revenue changes make the net market effect unclear.
