Unpatched Bitcoin Lightning nodes face channel-draining bug
Bitcoin Lightning nodes that have not applied the v26.06.10 update remain exposed to a bug that can drain payment channels, according to maintainers. The release adds channel checks and remote-command fixes, and operators are also told to restrict and replace unaccounted-for credentials. A channel-draining flaw on Lightning is a security and confidence risk for BTC infrastructure, though the impact is limited to unpatched node operators.
