BIS paper recycles old bitcoin critiques but agrees with Saylor on payments
A Bank for International Settlements paper titled "Money and the Architecture of Trust," by economist Iñaki Aldasoro, repeats long-rebutted criticisms of bitcoin while conceding a point Michael Saylor of Strategy also makes: bitcoin is not functioning as everyday money. The two arrive at that conclusion for opposite reasons. The piece is commentary on an academic paper rather than a market event, so it carries little direct price impact, though it reflects continued central-bank skepticism toward BTC.
